About

Our Story

After a career spanning more than 25 years, our CEO had many occasions to see and experience first-hand what a strong team can do for a project, and what happens to a good project without one.

His vision was a collective: experienced professionals who would work together, teach each other and learn from each other, and bring that combined knowledge to every client, whatever their sector and whatever their mission. So, he reached out to the people he most admired, respected, and wanted to learn from. They said yes. That group is Precision PMO.

Today our partners bring more than 100 years of combined experience across construction, environment, emergency management, technology, energy and Indigenous governance. Good projects rarely stall for technical reasons. They stall when governance, scope and relationships are left to chance. We are here to make sure yours doesn’t.

Who We Are

Precision PMO is majority Indigenous-owned (54%) and a Certified Indigenous Business with the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business. Our team includes Métis, Kwakwaka’wakw and Mohawk professionals alongside project managers with decades of public-sector, resource-sector and technology experience. Beyond our partners, we draw on a wide network of trusted specialists, and we are known for pulling the right people together to make a project succeed. Our partners work from five cities across North and South America, and we serve clients wherever we are needed.

How we work: Two-Eyed Governance

Two-Eyed Seeing (Etuaptmumk) is a principle articulated by Mi’kmaw Elder Albert Marshall: learning to see with the strengths of Indigenous knowledge through one eye, and the strengths of Western knowledge through the other, and using both together. Our Partner Alexander Hobrough explored this concept in greater depth in the context of project management and governance. He developed the Two-Eyed Governance model, which we proudly use in our Indigenous project delivery work.

We apply it to project governance. In practice, that means:

  • Relationship before schedule. We invest early in understanding who needs to be at the table and how decisions are made.
  • Community-defined success. Outcomes are set with the people the project serves, not just the funder.
  • Rigour that holds up. Schedules, budgets, risk registers and reporting meet professional PMO standards and funder requirements.
  • Capacity that stays. We leave tools, processes and skills behind so your team can carry the work forward.
